I should just put the whole album "Champ" on this blog

3. House of the Rising Sun - The Animals
Played in Martin Scorcese's Casino, great scene

4. Careless Whisper - George Michaels
This song is a total joke... but will get stuck in your head (see video below)

5. So Whatcha Want - Beastie Boys ft. The Roots on Jimmy Fallon
Awesome performance, make sure you check out the video

6. She's Long Gone - The Black Keys
Off of their latest album "Brothers"

7. So Far Around the Bend - The National
This was released on a compilation album Dark Was the Night to raise fund and awareness of HIV and AIDS in Africa

8. Bloodbuzz Ohio - The National
A little more darker then the last one from Bruce Springsteen's favorite new band





9. Instant Karma - John Lennon
On this mix partly because it is a great song, but more importantly the video to go along with it of Hockey Night in Canada's opening montage on December 11th to honor the anniversary of his death. Fact: HNIC makes the best montages w/ music you will ever see.

First single off The Strokes new album

2. Kim & Jessie - M83
This French electronic/dream pop band needs to come out with some new tunes... but this will do for now

3. Dance Hall Days - Wang Chung
Perfect background music used in Mark Wahlberg's The Fighter (2010) when Dicky Eklund is doing heroin with his buddies

4. Make Some Noise - Beastie Boys
The Beastie Boys are back

5. Firecracker - Ryan Adams
Upbeat tune from my favorite Ryan Adams album "Gold"

6. Circuital - My Morning Jacket
The first single off of MMJ's new album which comes out in May

7. Party Girl (live) - U2
Oldie but a goodie

8. Racing In the Street '78 - Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band
Excellent alternate version of this classic Springsteen song

9. This Time Tomorrow - The Kinks
Not a big fan of The Kinks but still a catchy song

10. The Caravan (Live - The Last Waltz) - Van Morrison ft. The Band
Amazing performance.. finally found a Youtube video to go along with the song, but it probably won't be up for long

-- The first of many to be featured on this blog from the great Canadian band... The Band

-- New music from the Fleet Foxes off of their new album "Helplesness Blues" set to release May 3rd

-- Powerful song off of Brandon Flower of The Killers solo project "Flamingo"

6. Life in Vain - Daniel Johnston
-- Beautiful song from a man who has fought bipolar disorder his whole life while still being able to influence many great musicians around today

-- The next big thing in rap

8. Escape is at Hand for the Travelin' Man - The Tragically Hip
-- One of my favorite Hip songs

9. Hospital Beds - Cold War Kids
-- Eerie tune from this Californian band

-- The best remix out there of Gucci's "Lemonade"

Playlist for Week 1

1. Candy's Room - Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band.
-- Released in 1978, off of one of the best Springsteen album's "Darkness on the Edge of Town."

2. MoneyGrabber - Fitz & the Tantrums
-- New band with an old school sound, great tune.

3. Wait Up (Boots of Danger) - Tokyo Police Club
-- The first of 2 songs on this weeks playlist from TPC's latest album "Champ."

4. You Oughta Know - Das Racist
-- Uses a sample from Billy Joel's "Movin' Out" and turns it into a great rap song.

5. What's Up - 4 Non Blondes
-- One of the greatest songs of the 1990's... possibly the greatest song ever.

6. Corduroy (Live at Madison Square Garden) - Pearl Jam
-- Opened up the show with this one on 5-21-2010.. awesome concert.

7. Breakneck Speed - Tokyo Police Club
-- 2nd song on this playlist from the Canadian indie rock group.

8. Pretty Little Penthouse (Brenton Duvall Remix) - Tayyib Ali
-- A mash up of Michael Jackson's "PYT" and Tayyib Ali's "Penthouse Minutes."

9. You're a Friend of Mine - Clarence Clemmons ft. Jackson Browne
-- The Big Man originally wanted Springsteen on this track but had to go with Jackson Browne when Springsteen declined.

10. Breath (Live at Madison Square Garden) - Pearl Jam
-- Another great song from the 5-21 show at MSG.

10th Avenue Introduction

10th Avenue, named after the famous Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band song "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out", will feature 10 songs each week in playlist format that is available on my Youtube Channel  under playlists.The playlists will have all different types of music on them. Each playlist will have a variety of new, old, popular, live, and unreleased tunes.
Sometime in the near future, I will hopefully be able to make some of these songs available for download on my actual blog. In the meantime, there are a lot of sites out there that allow you to convert Youtube videos into mp3s.
