Playlist for Week 1

1. Candy's Room - Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band.
-- Released in 1978, off of one of the best Springsteen album's "Darkness on the Edge of Town."

2. MoneyGrabber - Fitz & the Tantrums
-- New band with an old school sound, great tune.

3. Wait Up (Boots of Danger) - Tokyo Police Club
-- The first of 2 songs on this weeks playlist from TPC's latest album "Champ."

4. You Oughta Know - Das Racist
-- Uses a sample from Billy Joel's "Movin' Out" and turns it into a great rap song.

5. What's Up - 4 Non Blondes
-- One of the greatest songs of the 1990's... possibly the greatest song ever.

6. Corduroy (Live at Madison Square Garden) - Pearl Jam
-- Opened up the show with this one on 5-21-2010.. awesome concert.

7. Breakneck Speed - Tokyo Police Club
-- 2nd song on this playlist from the Canadian indie rock group.

8. Pretty Little Penthouse (Brenton Duvall Remix) - Tayyib Ali
-- A mash up of Michael Jackson's "PYT" and Tayyib Ali's "Penthouse Minutes."

9. You're a Friend of Mine - Clarence Clemmons ft. Jackson Browne
-- The Big Man originally wanted Springsteen on this track but had to go with Jackson Browne when Springsteen declined.

10. Breath (Live at Madison Square Garden) - Pearl Jam
-- Another great song from the 5-21 show at MSG.

This mix can be found under 10th Avenue - Week 1 playlist at http://www.youtube.com/The10thAvenue.

10th Avenue Introduction

10th Avenue, named after the famous Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band song "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out", will feature 10 songs each week in playlist format that is available on my Youtube Channel  under playlists. The playlists will have all different types of music on them. Each playlist will have a variety of new, old, popular, live, and unreleased tunes.
Sometime in the near future, I will hopefully be able to make some of these songs available for download on my actual blog. In the meantime, there are a lot of sites out there that allow you to convert Youtube videos into mp3s.
Enjoy,
